PROJECT

WATER GARDEN

DEVELOPED FOR

The Flevo-landscape

TO BE SEEN IN

Lelystad

DESCRIPTION:

The water garden surrounding the visitor center of Natuurpark Lelystad is a unique location where you can enjoy natural tranquility. (And with a bit of luck, spot a sea eagle). Peerdrops provided the canal-animal education here.

"Peerdrops provided the Allrounder and the Freshwater Flipper for the makeover of the water garden. This was the result of a great collaboration where Peerdrops creatively contributed and beautifully incorporated lifelike drawings into the objects."

REGARDING THE ASSIGNMENT

PROJECT COMPONENTS

Concept work | Educative objects | Signing | Illustrations | Implementation & Installation

The first of our collaboration with the Flevo-landscape. Earlier this year, Peerdrops and the Flevo-landscape initiated a partnership in three projects, and the water garden was the first to be realised: The outcome is a new drawing style that immediately grabs attention and is incorporated into engaging nature education. Through our "Freshwater Flipper", you can observe the various stages of fascinating creatures (such as salamanders, dragonflies, and the large water spider!).

Our "Allrounder" is also present, providing insights into the diverse species you can encounter. After an initial netting session, we immediately noticed that many are indeed quite easy to catch!

But education about the insect hotel is not forgotten either. Through beautiful illustrations and intriguing questions, you can learn more about earwigs, wild bees, and more!

In short: Nature education packaged in interactive objects.

FUN FACT

Have you ever seen the larva of a great silver water beetle?

What an incredibly large creature it is!
