The new wayfinding, complete with area signs
and route posts, aims to enhance the visitor experience. All of this is neatly aligned with the existing branding of Blijdorp and the new map.

When this assignment was underway, it was structured as a pitch, running parallel to the task for the new map. We were invited to pitch for both, but secretly believed that the two assignments could complement each other. That's why we combined them in our submissions. This led to the creation of map fragments on the area panels, allowing the signs to serve as physical "you-are-here" markers when paired with the map. Pretty handy, right?
